Giving back to a great cause!
I am happy to announce that, on October 1, 2016, I will be leading a Career Development Workshop with the great folks at Never Alone Again, an organization that works with women who have been victims of domestic violence.

During our workshop, we'll discuss all the basics of getting a job, from a great resume to negotiating a job offer. We'll even bring the conversation into the 21st century, with information on how to navigate computerized resume filters and using LinkedIn effectively. It's sure to be an information-packed seminar!
I have been proud to know Theresa Johnson, founder of the organization, for nearly ten years, and I've donated to and worked for her charity and have seen the positive results. The women she helps are able to bounce back from very difficult circumstances, and the way Theresa touches so many lives is inspiring to me and those who know and work with her. I hope you will consider a donation to her fantastic cause.
If you are in the tri-state area, she is able to accept in-kind donations, such as toiletries, work clothes and anything else that could be of use to these women and their children. She also holds special events from time to time with special calls for donations, such as baby shower gifts and gently used prom dresses. You can arrange to make such donations, or even just good old cash, on her website.
Once the event takes place I'll post some photos and updates on how things went!
